You can meet people before your exchange semester by connecting with other students who are heading to the same city. Erasmus Connect lets you set your destination and discover fellow exchange and Erasmus students going to, or already living in, that city — so you arrive with a network instead of starting from zero. You save the people you'd like to meet, and when the interest is mutual you can swap contact details.
Is there an app to find friends in my exchange or study-abroad city?
Yes. Erasmus Connect is a free app for iPhone and Android built specifically to help exchange, Erasmus, and study-abroad students find friends in their destination city. You browse other students tied to that city, save the ones you'd like to meet, and connect once you've both shown interest.

How do I find housing, sell things, or ask questions as an exchange student?
Use the Board inside Erasmus Connect. Students post under "looking for" or "offering" across categories like housing, items, clothes, questions, events, activities and services — so you can find a room, pass on furniture before you leave, or ask locals and fellow students anything about your destination.
Which cities and countries does Erasmus Connect support?
Erasmus Connect supports destinations worldwide. You pick your exchange city from a global list and are matched with students tied to that same city, wherever in the world you're studying.
Is it safe and how is my privacy protected?
Erasmus Connect is for users 18 and older and includes photo moderation plus block and report tools. Your contact details stay private — Instagram or TikTok handles are only revealed after a mutual match, never before — so you control who can reach you.

Erasmus Connect is available on iPhone (iOS) and Android. It's currently in pre-order — pre-order on the App Store or pre-register on Google Play and it installs automatically on launch day (August 1, 2026).
